On the morning of November 3, 2016, just hours after breaking a 108-year World Series drought, the Chicago Cubs engaged PWE to produce a once in a lifetime celebration simply called "The Party." With only 36 hours of planning and preparation time, the PWE & Cubs team worked together to create an event befitting the magnitude of the occasion. The event began at Metro Chicago, A Wrigleyville institution, which over the course of an afternoon, had been appropriately outfitted with Cubs logos, jerseys, bunting and iconic 'W" flags. Cubs players and staff arrived, fresh off the Championship Rally, one of the largest gatherings in human history to celebrate alongside the newly-acquired World Series Champion trophy. The party then moved across the street to Wrigley Field for a champagne toast and celebration on the field. During the World Series, fireworks had been loaded onto the tops of the ballpark's video boards, in case the series ended at Wrigley Field. Since the series ended in Cleveland, they were still up there, so prior to taking guests back to Metro for the after-party, they were treated to a fireworks display.
