Overview
Built in 1864, the quaint Chapel of Our Lady was the Presidio’s first house of worship when the Presidio was a U.S. Army post. Generations of military personnel attended services in this non-denominational site. The Chapel is located on the Main Post, the cultural heart of the Presidio, near the Inn at the Presidio, the Presidio Officers’ Club, and several restaurants. Today, it’s a favorite backdrop for wedding ceremonies (it has a small wedding suite inside). It’s also a fitting location for memorial services, small cultural events, and other gatherings.
