The restaurant’s name is derived from the Italian expression, "fare la scarpetta," which means to savor a meal to the last bite. In 2008, Scarpetta received a James Beard nomination for ‘Best New Restaurant in America’ as well as a coveted three-star review from the New York Times. The philosophy of Scarpetta’s kitchen is one of creating bold flavors by amplifying the essence of seasonal ingredients. Staff is vaccinated against COVID-19
LDV Hospitality & its restaurants will require all indoor dining guests to be vaccinated beginning Monday 8/16. Proof of vaccination will be required for every member of the party dining indoors. Acceptable forms of proof of vaccination are the CDC-issued paper card, a picture of the CDC card, or the digital NY Excelsior Pass (or a similar pass from another state). There will be no exceptions for guests who do not have valid proof.
