Its bright red façade accented with colorful tiles provides a preview of the design to be found inside, ranging from unique custom light fixtures and repurposed antiques to a red velvet-topped banquette. The L-shaped bar is reminiscent of ones found in tapas bars throughout Spain and offers a glimpse into the open kitchen. Since 2012, Black Bull has been exploring the exquisite products and flavors found throughout Spain while embracing the country’s constant culinary evolution and creativity. Black Bull draws upon the Spanish heritage of its founder and executive chef to transport guests to a country close to their hearts and souls. Rather than limit himself to a single region, Executive Chef Marcos Campos freely wanders across the country, offering guests the opportunity to experience the best ingredients and traditions from all of Spain’s dramatically distinct areas via his seasonally changing hot and cold tapas, entrees and paellas. Headlined by one of Chicago’s most expansive sherry selections, Black Bull’s beverage program also features a menu dedicated to Spanish-style Gintonics. A carefully crafted Spanish and Portuguese wine list represents the personal relationships established over the years with winery owners by Bonhomme team members. Black Bull can accommodate a variety of private and semi-private events and celebrations for large and small groups.
