About

Located in the historic Baur’s building in the Denver Theatre District, Candy Factory Coworking offers a sweet assortment of memberships with premium amenities for teams of all sizes, individuals, and solopreneurs. Experience a workspace where history and creativity playfully collide in this imaginative hub for passionate professionals and creatives. Founded in 1872, O.P. Baur Confectionery Company called 1512 Curtis Street home for nearly 80 years, from 1891 to 1970. In its heyday, Baur’s was a virtual palace of sweets: cases of candy, cakes, and other treats, and a soda fountain, all lit by twinkling chandeliers. The building’s glowing sign along Curtis Street was one of the landmarks in Denver’s “Great White Way” theater district, and the candy shop’s original owner, Otto P. Baur, claimed that Baur’s was the original inventor of the ice cream soda. The Baur’s Building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Baur’s is famous among Denver society for celebrating special events and birthdays and the building has been the meeting place for the Denver municipal, state, arts and business communities for over 143 years. It was the site of the radio show “Breakfast at Baur’s,” hosted by Denver celebrity and author Gene Amole in the ’40s and ’50s and now… BAUR’S IS BACK!
