About

ᴛᴏꜱʜᴏᴋᴀɴ is a 14-course omakase sushi speakeasy, served with the intention to only 6 diners at a time. Hidden in plain sight, within popular eastside venue Native Hostel and Bar, we’re hoping to provide one of Austin’s finest most intimate dining experiences. Saine Wong is a born and raised-chef coming from Los Angeles. Starting his culinary journey right out of high school, Saine went to Le Cordon Bleu of Miami. Throughout his career, Chef Saine has been cooking in multiple cuisines consisting of Japanese, Italian, French, Belgian, and American. In 2018, Chef Saine took an 18-month break from cooking to travel the world, studying food, culture, and ingredients. Visiting 26 different countries in his travels, Chef Saine is bringing his lessons, knowledge, and experience to Toshokan where he merges flavors and ingredients he has studied throughout his travels and culinary experience.
