Pancakehouse Upstairs
You can find Upstairs Pancakes in a typical Amsterdam house dated back to 1539, in the center of Amsterdam. We are at your service since 1961.
Established in 1961, it is the smallest pancake restaurant in Europe with only 4 tables and a capacity of 18 guests. By climbing a very steep staircase, you reach the restaurant on the second floor. You will be greeted by Arno or Ali, the owners. More than 100 teapots are hanging from the ceiling, the walls are covered with many portraits of the Dutch Royal Family and old paintings of Amsterdam. In the Royal Corner, you can enjoy a pancake amidst the Dutch Royals. Our meat is from the butcher Slagerij Serge, and our fruit and vegetables are from Frank Vork.
