About

Hart House distinguishes itself from other venues in Toronto because of its grand stonework, expansive oak timbers, brilliant architecture, and expert craftsmanship. For over 100 years, Hart House has enjoyed being the venue of choice for royalty, heads of state, celebrity galas, conferences, trade shows, performances, dinners, and meetings. The East Wing is home to our most magnificent and spacious room, The Great Hall. This room is a Toronto landmark, boasting an impressive 18-meter cathedral ceiling, elegant marble floors, decorative stone corbels, beautiful oak paneling, and a grand fireplace. The famous Quadrangle is located in the center of the building and includes a tented patio, gardens, sculptures, and a centered flagstone aisle. This large outdoor area is enclosed on four sides and open to the skies, making it the perfect venue for a cocktail reception. The legendary Music Room is the largest of the four rooms on the West Wing. Esteemed musicians Paul Robeson, Oscar Peterson, and Sam Roberts are some of the guests who have been hosted here. In addition to the Music Room, the West Wing also features the smaller Donald Burwash Room and the Board Room, ideal for conferences and seminars. Hart House has an assortment of other large multi-purpose rooms along with smaller, more intimate meeting spaces. Some rooms feature fireplaces and grand pianos, while all spaces exude classic ambiance and charm.
