What started out as a small sandwich shop in Tacoma WA in the 70's has now grown in Plum Restaurants. We are dedicated to nourishing the community with wholesome, organic, vegan foods. Makini Howell’s restaurants honor the transformation that is occurring in the way we view food and our personal responsibility to our communities. She is a lifelong vegan who believes that what is good for the individual will be good for the planet and that this is nowhere more evident than in the diet we choose. It all started with Plum Bistro. Vegans, foodies, and omnivores alike were given a plant based dining experience like none other in the city of Seattle. As a lifelong vegan herself, Chef Makini Howell’s passion for bringing quality vegan food to the community has grown into forms of healthy fast casual service, innovative desserts, and even personalized catering – leaving no vegan food lover behind in any special event or celebration!
